To be honest the city is reluctant to declare a drought in the autumn, when there is a good chance that the winter precipitation will refill the reservoirs.

The questions is “How low can it go before a drought is declared”.

    Looks like the lower Hudson Valley is getting a sustained soaking today, with the storm traveling as far north as Syracuse. Hopefully, it will have a positive impact on the reservoir levels.

      I wish you were correct. The problem is the soil and there is almost no runoff. The level just keeps dropping.
